Swan is a browser extension that highlights scripture within your everyday reading. We believe your browsing data is yours alone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Account information — Email address and authentication provider (Google, Apple, or email) when you create an account.
Religion preference — The faith tradition you select so we can surface relevant scripture.
Saved verses and notes — Verses you save and any personal notes you attach to them.
Progress data — Streak counts, quiz scores, and spaced repetition schedules stored locally and synced to your account.
Companion data (Christian users) — Devotional history, Witness journal entries, Signs of Wonder progress, and formation tracking. All stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server.

We do not track the websites you visit.
We do not read or store page content.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising.
How Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using encrypted cloud storage. Progress and saved verses sync across devices when you are signed in. You can export or delete your data at any time from the extension settings.
Third-Party Services
We use Google and Apple sign-in for authentication. These services receive only the minimum information needed to verify your identity. We do not receive your password from these providers.
